CN has announced that they will invest more than $245 million dollars to strengthen and expand rail infrastructure in Saskatchewan. Plans include the construction of about 35 miles of double track near Atwater, Fenwood, Biggar, and Clavet to keep trains moving more fluidly.
Will it actually be enough to prevent future grain backlogs? Probably not, but it is a move in the right direction.
